Summer Fun at Dean Heritage Centre - 2nd Sep 2008
The Dean Heritage Centre are going all out to make your summer jolly this year.
Every Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday, throughout the summer holidays, you never know who you might meet at the Dean Heritage Centre. A guaranteed treat with characters in full Victorian dress here to talk to you about life in the past, and living in the Forest. Maybe you will meet Ma Meek and some of her family in our cottage – it could be wash day, a special treat with Welsh cakes being cooked, or perhaps feeding their Gloucestershire Old Spot pigs, chickens, or even the poacher’s ferrets. Or maybe Forest freeminer Billo Nash will be here to greet you – he has many a tale from the Forest’s past to fascinate and amuse.
