Ambassador of the Forest and former freeminer Dave Harvey kicks off a programme of “Summer Nights” events at the Dean Heritage Centre with an evening of poetry and song, telling wry and witty tales of his experiences above- and below-ground in the Forest, entitled “Rhyming Rubbish”, on Tuesday 22nd of July. These will run every Tuesday night during the summer holidays. Food will be available from the Heritage Kitchen from 5pm, and the events will kick off at 6pm. Subsequent events will include bat walks, nature quizzes and walks, and birds of prey amongst others.
