Once an old cider house. The original cider press still stands in the gardens. Extended over the years, it offers a warm welcome to all. Settle back, relax and enjoy prime local produce with a glass or two of real ale or even cider!

Dogs welcome in garden & patio.

Had a meal tonight, 25/6/2010, at the Dog & Muffler. My wife chosse chips with here scampi and these were awful chips. When we commented to the waitress we were just told that they were not allowed to serve the bigger chips which they serve at quiz evenings becuase they now have a rosette?? This means they can no longer serve frozen chips. Although supposedly homemade, these chips and their presentation spoiled an otherwise reasonable meal. No alternative was offered. We won't be back in a hurry.

The complaint was that this customer prefers fat chips. Sorry we but we do not have the facility to offer different size chips according to individual wishes.

My wife and I visited this eatery this week the atmosphere was good and the service efficient but the food left a lot to be desired.
