The Beaufort Arms is in the village of Raglan, close to both Monmouth and Abergavenny. It’s young owners and their welcoming staff offer very good service combined with excellent food and drink in a relaxed informal atmosphere.
The focus is on food - here and elsewhere in the County - no wonder Monmouthshire has become Wales area of food excellence. The kitchen has a young dedicated team, the menu changes seasonally and the specials board reflects fish, meat and local produce fresh to market. All breads, pastas, desserts and ice creams are produced in house.
Adjacent to the main Brasserie is a private dining and meeting room. This intimate panelled room is ideal ror a small private party for up to 26 guests, a business meeting, family celebration or a group of friends eating together. The room can be extended to seat 40 and is particularly used for small weddings. The lounge bar is a more informal and the Country Bar is where locals and visitors meet — an intimate room resplendent with cased fish and hunting trophies. Some just meet to have coffee and do the crossword or simply read the newspapers.
Holding the CAMRA quality standard, there is a full selection of real ales, a regular changing guest ale as well as continental lagers and local ciders and depending upon the season mulled wine or Pimms may be the order of the day.
