The Inn at Penallt
Inn in or near Monmouth

Jackie and Andrew offer a warm and friendly welcome to their 17th century country inn and restaurant specialising in seasonal local and Welsh produce with a changing selection of ales and ciders from small breweries and artisan producers.

Set in the Wye Valley, close to the Forest of Dean, ideal for walking, cycling, canoeing and golf, we are a quiet romntic retreat.  The picturesque town of Monmouth is 10 minutes away and Tintern, Raglan, Usk and Ross are with 10 miles.  The cities of Cardiff and Bristol are 45 minutes by car.

Our four en-suite rooms all offer wi-fi access and two of the rooms in the pub are dog-friendly.

The Inn at Penallt is a great local pub for families. We enjoy taking our 5 children to eat in the bar and the restaurant. The food is freshly cooked and we appreciate being able to ask for half portions from the main menu for the children. The real bonus is the lovely big garden (more a cultivated field really) which is safe for the children to play whilst we have a delicious coffee. Andy and Jackie are so friendly and welcoming. They have really put the heart back into the village of Penallt!
