We spent the weekend down in Symonds Yat, I have to say what a fantastic part of the world, Easy for us to find. We were booked into the campsite for 2 nights, we were thoroughly looked after from the moment we arrived, The camp warden met us with a big smile and welcomed us to the village, told us a few handy tips on where to go and what to see. We like to camp in style but we rarely want to cook so the warden recommended a local hotel for us and even booked us in for breakfast. (beats the heck out of doing in your tent)

We had a lovely walk on our first day, All around the valley and up to the top of Symonds Yat Rock view point where we spent a long time watching the peregrine Falcons Flying in and out of their nests. Utterly Amazing to see, A Very rare sight indeed, The View they say you can see 7 Counties (we didn't know which was which but we surely enjoyed it, A Definite must see.)

Our second Day was spent on the River, The Canoe Centre Organized everything for us, We left Symonds Yat and went to Kerne bridge where after a informative safety talk we were on our way. It truly was magnificent, we saw almost every river animal you can imagine, Water Vole, Swan, Canadian Geese, Mink & Even a kingfisher!!!

After the trip on the river we came back to our tent wanting a shower. We did have to wait 10 mintues while they were being cleaned but we were happy as we were chatting to the manager about our day, how we got on and what we enjoyed, A Very Pleasant Chap. The showers were Clean and Hot! Just what we wanted after the day on the river.

They say its the people that complete a place and they're right! A Big thank you to the Wyedean Staff for looking after us.

We Will be back!

Terrible, terrible experience. Extremely rude staff and a very discourteous attitude. All about the money – do not use this company!

We are sorry to hear that you had a bad experience while you were with us. I can assure you that the majority of our customers leave very happy with their stay and we do our best to make sure that everyone enjoys their stay. We have taken into mind last years negatives and positives and used them in our training tools for the staff for our 2011 season. We are certainly not all about the money. We wish for every customer to leave us satisfied and feel they have got value for money.

The worst campsite I've ever stayed in! Staff rude, unfriendly and unhelpful, no BBQs, no noise, no FUN.

We are very sorry that you did not enjoy your stay on our sister companies campsite, We take all criticism constructively and have spoken to all the campsite staff and retrained them where necessary. We do allow BBQ’s we just ask that they are kept off the ground to save the grass. We supply concrete blocks to do this with. If you wish to try us again we would be more than willing to allow you a free night stay for 2 people where available, Hopefully you would see a improvement in our services
