A brilliant spa! I visited for a Crystal Clear treatment, which isn't offered by many spas, and stayed for more which I hadn't meant to do. The spa setting is incredible, in acres of private grounds looking down into the Wye valley and surrounding countryside; you can't help but unwind. The spa is quite a spread with tennis courts, a pool, hot tub on the terrace, all sorts of goodies. The reception area's really welcoming, not stuffy, just friendly but professional. I hate snooty spas! It's quite quirky with lots of individual treatment rooms leading off comfy lounge areas. There are chairs and sofas, so you can lie down and chill, chat to the other ladies, or read the latest glossy mags (nice touch). You are offered various drinks and if you're hungry there's either a light meal selection or locally baked cakes and the portions aren't mean. I had a full body massage which left me like a ragdoll. The treatment beds are a good size, warm and don't creak, with ample towels to cover everything; I was asked how much pressure I liked, was I ticklish anywhere, etc and had a very enjoyable time until I dozed off. The Crystal Clear treatment was expertly done with everything properly applied and fully removed, leaving glowing but comfortable skin. Just a wonderful day and I'll be back.
