Wilton Castle and Gardens
Attraction in or near Ross-on-Wye
Wilton Castle was one of the Marcher Castles built in the 12th century to guard the Welsh border. Nestling on the banks of the beautiful River Wye, this ancient monument has been restored and is now open to the public.
Pink stoned courtyard walls, towers, dry moat along with a ruined Elizabethan mansion, all set in 2 acres of well laid out new and old gardens including herbaceous borders, beds of sweetly scented old fashioned roses, gravel gardens and shrubberies.
This property is a place of beauty peace and serenity.
